The School Counseling program is an essential component of our educational services and is provided to students in Kindergarten through 12th grade… This developmental program is designed to meet the needs of all students in a safe and caring environment, while working collaboratively with faculty, administration, and parents. The goal of this program is to enable all students with their individual differences to acquire the educational, career/vocational, and personal/social competencies necessary to function and contribute in a changing society. As a member of the educational team, the school counselor will work collaboratively with teachers to assess the needs of students and present classroom guidance instruction as needed. This will allow the counselor more time during school to meet with students individually and work in small groups, thus enabling students to learn the aforementioned competencies.
